Prevent Digital Camera Data Lost, Recovery

Digital Cameras have become a common place in today's society as with other forms of portable digital media.  With this said, it is unbelievable how must trust we have put into these devices that will fail much like hard drives do with time.  Below are some tips on preventing the lose of those precious memories.

1:  Get the pictures of the flash card after each use to a hard drive, CD-ROM, or some other media other than just relying on the flash card.

2: Before you even think about deleting files off the camera, make sure you verify that the pictures successfully transferred off the card.

3: Don't ignore the proper way of removing or placing the flash card in or out of the camera.  Check your manufacturers recommendations (instructions).

4: Don't treat the flash card like loose change.  It needs to be protected during travel or even if it is sitting on your desk.  Keep it in protective casing and away from static, heat, extreme cold, or humidity.

5:  They don't last forever.  After about 1,000 uses they will begin to wear out and be less dependable.  Eventually they just will not be able to receive data, or at a very slow rate.

If a you deleted images, get an error message, or are unable to view images from the card, you should give DriveSavers a call.  They know how to get your precious memories back, and don't forget to mention this code  DS16416 to receive a discount.  There phone number is:  800-440-1904.
